I went in with low expectations, mainly because I'd seen everything else out there. "Stardust" is hands down the best movie of the summer. The studio must have been on crack though to release this now with minimal marketing... they should have held off til mid-November and pushed it as their big holiday tent pole. I reminded me, genre wise, closer to Princess Bride than anything else. I can only hope its a huge hit on video... or the studio has some secret plan to launch a major campaign to back it at the last second... I totally agree.
